Good Starting Point

I liked the product for the most part. I am fairly proficient with Excel, so I made some changes which enhanced it for me.
For example in the blank colored spaced next to the Debit/Credits columns, I made it so you could enter text to the side of the Column on the row you were wanting to comment. I did this on both Debits and Credits sides. Makes it a lot easier to go back and remember what that draft or check was about.

Secondly, I added a worksheet I called "Math" where I input what was on my traditional statement. I could also add a deposit and cash back item here. I added an adjustment line to fix any small descrepancies between my register and the statement.

Last, I added a worksheet which I titled "Calc". In it I used it to work up a deposit. For example, we get many refund checks on our pharmacy bills. We pay up front and our insurance reimburses us.
So I added a colum for Payor and List the name of the entity that cut me a check. Next colum for amount, third column is date deposited.
I did a sum at the bottom of the colum. Then had a line for cash back, and then what my total deposit was going to be. Very helpful if you are depositing several checks at one.

I would be happy to share my ammendments to you, just write and let me know.


One last suggestion, you might want to add a Data Validation code to you debit and credit columns. It will take any entry, and should only take a numeric value.
